Sustainability Specialist for GXN Copenhagen

GXN is looking for an experienced sustainability specialist who is passionate about transforming environmental challenges into creative, human-centred solutions. Your expertise in Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) and advanced design software skills will drive impactful projects that promote circular economy principles. 

 

Required Qualifications

  • A Master’s degree or Diploma in Engineering or Architecture, with a focus on environmental design.
  • 3+ years of professional experience within engineering or architectural practice.
  • Proven ability to lead and deliver projects independently and collaboratively.
  • Expertise and commitment to low-carbon design strategies and materials use. 
  • Proficiency in Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) methodologies and the practical application of LCA tools.
  • High level of creativity with strong visual and verbal communication skills.
  • Advanced in industry software (e.g., Grasshopper, Rhino, Adobe Creative Suite) and relevant design and analytical platforms.

 

Desirable Experience

  • Experience with research projects and initiatives.
  • Knowledge of circular economy principles and their integration into design and construction processes.
  • Accredited in sustainability certifications (e.g., BREEAM, LEED, WELL, or DGNB) and knowledgeable in ESG frameworks and principles.
  • Knowledge of UK and Danish planning systems, including Sustainability and Circular Economy Statements.
  • Experience in environmental disciplines such as water management, energy modelling, and biodiversity enhancement.
  • Competence in coding, environmental simulation, and computational design tools.

What we offer

Experience working in our core team and contributing directly to the development of our projects in a rich range of scales, typologies, formats and locations. You will work with architects, behavioural designers, circular design specialists, engineers and even an anthropologist. You will work with a range of exciting tools and processes, from material innovation to master plans, from forensic material studies to co-design workshops, developing unique and valuable skills.
